Refund Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

At DRK Designs, we aim to agree on the project scope, deliverables and price before starting work. This Refund Policy explains how cancellation and refund requests for our digital services are reviewed. It applies alongside the written quote or project agreement and applicable law.

1. Before work begins

If you cancel before we have started work, contact us in writing. Any refund will be assessed against payments received and any costs already incurred or committed for your project, subject to applicable law and your written agreement.

2. Homepage demos and work in progress

Once design, research, setup, development or a homepage demo has started, some or all of the payment may cover work already performed. We will review the project status, work completed and any approved expenses when assessing a request. A demo being delivered does not by itself guarantee a refund.

3. Milestone payments and demo approval

For website projects, once you approve the homepage demo and pay the first 50% development instalment, that 50% payment is non-refundable because it reserves the project and covers the start of the agreed development work. If you cancel after demo approval or after the first 50% payment has been made, the first 50% payment will not be refunded, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law. The remaining 50% is payable according to the written project agreement, normally before launch or handover. Any exception must be agreed in writing.

4. Digital deliverables and completed services

Fees for work already completed, delivered or approved are generally not refundable except where required by applicable law or agreed in writing. If a deliverable has a material issue against the agreed scope, notify us with details so we can review and, where appropriate, correct it.

5. Domain, hosting and service renewals after one year

If your package includes a domain, hosting or support/services for the first year, that inclusion ends after the stated one-year period. From the renewal date, applicable domain renewal, hosting, maintenance, support or other service charges will apply. Renewal prices and service terms may change based on the provider’s rates, the services required and the current quote. We will communicate renewal charges where practicable before renewal. Third-party provider charges are subject to that provider’s terms and may be non-refundable once processed.

6. Third-party costs

Premium themes or plugins, stock assets, advertising spend and other third-party charges may be non-refundable under the relevant provider’s rules. Renewals already processed by a third-party provider may need to be requested directly from that provider.

7. How to request a refund

Send your request using the contact details on this website. Include your name, project reference (if available), payment date, amount paid and reason for the request. We may ask for additional information to review it. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain the decision.

8. Processing approved refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider or bank. Any deduction will be explained and will comply with applicable law and your written agreement.

9. Statutory rights

This policy does not remove any consumer or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This is a general starter policy for your review, not legal advice. Adapt it to your actual payment, cancellation and delivery practices and have it checked for applicable law before publishing.
